And here I am finally, updating my journal. There's only one more paper to go next Friday, so I am taking a short break for the time being before getting into the mugging mood again.


Here are some of the shoots that I have been doing recently (prior to the exam period), one which is a cosplay shoot based on Togainu no Chi as well as a casual shoot featuring lolitas and angel wings.

Everyone had fun and I learnt a great deal from the experience, especially for the TnC shoot. Night shoots are always a challenge but hopefully by the time I get to do this again, there will be some improvements (no guarantees though).


Other updates:


* The cleaning up of my Multiply gallery is still underway, and some albums have been earmarked for further processing. Unfortunately there's no time to do everything in one shot, so I have to resort to doing things bit by bit.


* My friend is helping out for the following event: [link] Do drop by if you are living in Singapore and have the time to do so.


* There will be a J-Rock/Cosplay related event called Streetfest which is coming in 9 days time (25th May). It will be an indoor event so lighting might prove to be a challenge. But as they say, no pain no gain eh?


* I will be testing out Tamron's 28-75mm F2.8, which is actually a decent lens that is a value for money. Basically what happens is that my friend wanted to try out my kit lens (a 18-135mm F3.5-5.6) for his upcoming trip to Hong Kong, so I am happy to oblige him in exchange for this lens.


* Seems like and I are on a similar train of thoughts, as we are both uploading our past works to Cosplay.com. It sounds cool but its a lot of hard work as I have to shift through the photos (again) and choose the better ones. Yes, 48 hours a day would be great...


* For those of you who are curious about the first two lines of this journal entry, they were taken from the song Diamond Crevasse which is the ending song of the new anime series Macross Frontier. It is simply awesome (would be lengthy to explain why), so catch it if you can!
